Your Grand Cherokee is a very capable tow vehicle. Just downgrade your trailer size aspirations. There are bunkhouse trailers under 22' and under 4000 lb loaded. A TT is a great toy and family time tool, but never mess up your finances to get one. Many families have great times in under-$10k TTs, in popups, and even with tents.
thanks Rexlion. You may have a point. I have a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L Hemi V8 4x4 Limited with the Class IV trailer set up. Here are the vehicle specs:
Towing Capacity: 7200
Tongue: 740
GCWR: 13100
Curb: 5150
Payload: 1150
the payload is the real issue with 3 kids, me and the wife. Right now we all weigh about 550 or so lbs.
any BH come to mind?
