how to decide on buying a trailer - the dream vs reality

so the wife and I just can't seem to figure this out. we have 3 kids (11, 8, and 5) and just got back from a trip and rented a trailer. loved it. didn't like the feeling of staying in a rental thou...

The other thing I liked about my old pop up was we tended to stay outside more.

And we could get it off the beaten path much easier. If Forest roads and dry camping are your thing
