If your kids are into sports,buy something cheap and small. The kids will be making a choice,either drop sports or go camping with you. These parts practice is mandatory,no absences, no excuses,and it only gets more intense as they move ahead.
I venture that you will not be using it as you are dreaming about.
Even in retirement,we only get 60 or so nights a season in ours,grandkids,eldercare and other family commitments seem to get in the way.
You need to realistically figure your available time before you commit that kind of money.
Drive around and see how many trailers and RV's sit with out ever being moved. You will be shocked. Every one of those has a owner that was going to be a traveling camping fool until reality set in.
