My unit, as noted, does not aerate. The cubes are the same size/shape and such
just like the cubes you get out of the fridge, in my case 12 at a time in about 7 minutes. I think the smaller units do 9 cubes per minute if I remember right.
No water to hook up, just add water as needed. It holds enough water to fill the storage capacity of the unit in a few hours.
Yes it's a good sized unit to store in an RV. We place ours on the floor out of the way and it works great for us and we don't have to chase ice.
Just another option for those of us that like ice and perhaps don't have an icemaker. In my opinion, with all the rigs and brands of fridges that we have had, an icemaker just taxes the cooling unit that may be running at max or close on a hot day anyway.
