If you're getting pushed around its more due to the size of the trailer not the weight IMO.
Bottom line even though the Commando is the biggest rig Jeep has made it's not much of a tow vehicle for high profile trailers.
I don't think its unsafe, I'm not part of the weight police that think you need a diesel Dooley to tow a pop up, but they sure are nice!
Bigger rig, smaller trailer or just deal with it unfortunately. Unless of course your trailer isn't towing properly. But if you can pull it and its steady at highway speeds tails not waggin the dog, then your setup is ok. The trailer is just pushing the truck around a little.
