Our first MH was our first MH and we didn't know anything. We looked at a few on the Camping World lot and bought one that was *close* to what we really wanted. The salesman was not totally obnoxious, but he was pushy in the way any car salesman is. We didn't ask a lot of questions because we didn't know what to ask.
We got quite a bit of use out of it and were happy, but there were things that we just didn't like that got more annoying with time.
Fast forward 3 years. Now we know what we want and what didn't work for us in MH#1. We looked at some other dealerships, then we took a road trip down to the Lazy Daze mothership in Montclair, Ca. We spent HOURS crawling around in every compartment, nook, cranny, seat, bed, you name it. Not only were they OK with it, they seemed to expect it. (It's not in an area that you happen by by accident. If you're there you WANT to be there.) When we were ready to talk to someone the general manager came and spent time with us without making us feel like we were wasting his time. It was a very refreshing change from the big dealerships we'd been to and it definitely helped us make our decision. We now have a 2014 24' Twin King on order.
