Interior Upgrade advice

I apologize for the length of this post. I'm new to the site and new to owning a TT. I have so many questions to ask experienced RVers and trying to keep them at a minimum.

We have a 2012 Trailrunner TT. I want to upgrade some features. Any advice on some or all of my questions is greatly appreciated.

1) We only have a microwave and cook-top inside. I was looking at taking out the microwave and putting in a microwave/convection oven. Do you have any recommendations on a quality brand? Is this a good idea?

2) Speaking of cooking, I want an outdoor gas grill I can mount on the back of the trailer when camping. Any suggestions on grills?(We have 4 people in our family)

3) I need to install a new radio/cd/DVD player. Any recommendations again on quality brands? Should I use one of the all-in-ones or go with individual units?

4) Lowes/Home Depot want too much for new blinds. We currently have aluminum blinds and the people before us didn't take care of them. Where can I find good prices on some blinds for a TT?

5) Even though our trailer was a year old when we pulled off the lot, the exterior looked fantastic, like new. What kind of polish/wax should I use to keep that awesome shine?

6) I know this is kind of a vague question and that the site is sponsored by Camping World, but do you know of any home recipes for anything to save money rather than buying products or equipment?(just trying to find ways of saving money)

Thank you very much!

  • 1) Any microwave/convection oven that will fit into the space. I do not beleive you will get to pick from a large number
    2) I am with the other post why the trailer?? I do not know how you cook on a grill but when I cook the grease flys everywhere. or drips down. I do not want any thing like that on my unit. Get a free standing or table one.
    4) Go to a blind shop in your town with the sizes. I am sure even there the cost will suprise you.

Good luck and enjoy your camper
  • Why do you want a grill to mount on the back of the trailer? We have a Coleman on a stand, before this grill we had a table top one.

All but one of the campsites we have stayed at have had the picnic table beside the firepit and at the side of where you would park. I would not want the grill at the back of the RV. But maybe that is just me.
