I have owned both.
The inside ceiling mount A/C is very loud and freezes you out 'where' it is located and the rest of the RV is hot.
And because the unit is located up front where you spend most of the time you want to turn it down to be able to hear and to stop the icicles on your nose from forming and then the back of the RV temps shoot up to unbearable and then ultimately the whole darn RV gets hot. :R
My second RV is ducted and with plenty of movable ducts to adjust the air flow to each room and/or redirect the airflow.
IMHO, JMHO the most efficient way to go and the most comfortable way to air con an RV. And in turn heat the RV.
