You need to check the states you want to travel to make sure you can pull a toyhauler trailer behind you motorhome.
If I were you I'd just purchase a toyhauler in the first place.
We had a 2004 40' Newmar and didn't find any problem getting into campsites. We used public parks 95% of the time. However, you're definitely going to have issues trying to park both a motorhome and a toyhauler on a site. You're not going to be able to back into any places.
Keep in mind that the longer the wheelbase, the smoother the ride.
