Since Max Aire decided to boycott Amazon or online sale in general, I boycott their product. I went with the Camco. Super easy install, and the no-see-um mesh covering the grill appears good quality. All the fasteners are stainless, took maybe 10 minutes to install the first, and less than that for the 2nd.
I just went to Amazon and all the MaxxAirs and MaxxAir IIs are listed there, with free delivery if you have Amazon Prime. Not sure what the boycott that you mention refers to.
I've looked at the Camco covers in stores and I bought a MaxxAir. On another thread in this forum, I believe there were some reports about the Camcos being made of lesser plastic that gets brittle in the sun, and they lost their Camco covers when they got brittle and blew off.
I could see that the plastic will get brittle... the factory vent covers are already suffering a lot of uv damage and not 3 yrs old yet
I'm referring to the TurboMaxx fans... they've pulled them from all online resellers, have to buy from a rv parts brick 'n mortar store
