We don't have road salt around here.
I don't need heavy duty off road, just don't want the whole thing to fall apart if I routinely use dirt roads (which we do).
How much trouble would I get into if I found an older (15-20 year old) Class C that I used exclusively as a guest house, and then bought a separate travel trailer for our traveling needs? Then I could use the tow vehicle I really want (a Durango) rather than a pick up truck.
In this scenario the Class C doesn't have to be very roadworthy. It'd be stationary for several years.
