Why not let your parents/inlaws use the kids' room(s) during their stays and put the kids in the RV?
That way:
You can stick with a single smaller TT.
Your parents/inlaws will have the comfort of real beds in a real house with a real bathroom and shower/bath which will be MUCH preferred, especially with the difficulties that living with cancer brings.
Your kids will LOVE the chance to sleep in the RV on their own.
