I researched this extensively before buying and decided a 27’ travel trailer would get me into most NPS campgrounds, albeit not into every site within each campground. So I bought a 27’ -ish trailer (about an extra 4 inches). No one’s out there measuring your rig when you come through, but I presume to take the limits seriously and figure if they say 27’, I should be able to maneuver through the cg ok. I always reserve in advance during peak season. This Labor Day weekend we’ll be staying at Mt. Rainier and we have a spot that holds trailers up to 30’.
That said there is another Mt. Rainier cg which has an 18’ max on trailers. I knew that going on. When I go to that cg I just tent camp.
