Used to have a Coleman Roadtrip. What a stupid POS! Too many design flaws plus cheap construction. However, it's large surface area is excellent. Has interchangeable grates and you can do pancakes, use pots and grill. It is much wider than a Weber and could be harder to get into some storage bays or pass-throughs. I had a quick look at a Roadtrip recently and it looks like they made have made some improvements to it.
We dumped the Coleman on CL and picked up a brand new Weber Q on CL for about 1/3 the going retail price and even made some $$ in the process. Very well made and does an excellent job of grilling meat - nice 'n juicy and evenly cooked. It's taller than the Coleman and I have to take the lid on/off every time to get in /out of our pass-through - easy to do. The surface area is much smaller than the Coleman and cannot do pancakes, use pots or use a frying pan. A solid 1/2 grate is available but can only use it on one side (due to air flow) plus it has a rough surface. The Weber seems a little more susceptible to wind.
Since the Weber is no good for boiling things in a pot or for a frying pan, I bought a single burner propane unit. It also plugs into the quick-connect. Works fantastic and easily does a large pot full of corn on the cob quickly.
Even though we have a fancy outdoor BBQ on the patio at home, occasionly we use the Weber Q when we want ribs or steaks cooked to perfection. It's that good!!
In both the Roadtrip and Weber Q, I removed the regulators so we can plug into the propane quick-connect under the TT. This is very handy and an easy mod to do. We never cook inside and being able to get the Weber set up quickly really helps.
