If my Weber Q 2000 ever dies, I will replace it with exactly the same model. I can't think of a higher recommendation than that. (I did remove the regulator from the grill and replaced it with a propane quick connect fitting. I can now run the Weber Q directly from my trailer's low pressure propane outlet. I bought a propane hose with a propane quick connect on one end, and a regulator on the other end that connects to a 20# propane bottle. Now I can run my Weber Q either from the trailer or a bulk bottle. I even put a propane disconnect on the regulator that I took off the Weber Q so I can still use the disposable bottles too. :))

Looked at a Webber Q. well over priced for the size, and heat it puts out. We found a stainless steel double burner at Sam's Club. 20000 btu, uses a 20lb tank. $99.00. We really like it. Does a great job.
The reason the Weber Q cooks so well and so evenly is that its grates are cast iron and heavy. The cast iron heats extremely evenly. A cheap lightweight grill will not cook nearly as well, nor last nearly as long, as a quality, heavily built grill. Quality costs. That is why I tow an Airstream.
I maintain they are way over priced for what you get. My grates are heavy stainless, my grill is stainless, a Q is only 12000 btu, kind of wimpy. My portable grill is 20,000 btu. Guess which one cooks better. Yep mine does, How do I know? I have friends that wasted their money on Qs. When we are together. Mine out cooks theirs, to the point. they stopped using theirs, and bought griddles, while I do all the grilling.
Who wants a tiny little under powered Q when you can have a real grill.
