need good grill

I need a bar b q grill for camping. I want one that doesn't take up a lot of room but it will last for a few years. Probably propane is easiest.

Any links would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

  • I have had a Coleman Roadtrip LX (not LXE) grill for about 5 years, works great, love it.
  • Been using Weber Qs for 20 yrs now - originally a Q100 for 8 yrs ~ 3x a week year 'round for both camping and here at the house, then a Q220 at the house an average 3x a week year 'round, and a Q120 dedicated to camping only for the last few years. The only issue I've had is regulator failure - Weber replacements are expensive and not sold at our local big box stores so I came up with a mod using parts that are commonly available.

I've not had any issues since and would recommend a Weber Q to anyone, whether for use while camping or at home. :B
  • We've had our Weber Q for about 5 years. I am a HUGE fanboy for Weber. However, I've found the Q to be sort of a pain. My main frustration is that the burner holes clog up extremely easy. I almost never have them all lit.

As others have stated the Weber Q series, small but will last forever.
Another vote here for the Weber Q. It fits perfectly in the basement of our coach.

We also opted to get the roll around cart. It is kinda of goofy to get the grill on and off of it but it works as advertised.

And we got an extension hose to hook up to the coach propane tank:

Lastly, you will want to consider getting a supply of drip pans.

Definitely if you want an even burning BBQ and quality the Weber Q Series is the one.
  • Weber Q series are the gold standard. But for around 50 dollars Weber also has a sheet metal model that we used for years and loved it.
