Neighbors Ram (2013) at our full time place has something that adjusts while he is motion and knows how much pressure to apply to braking system.
Questions...
Would a newer controllers know how fast I'm going and be more user friendly? Maybe thru the Tow vehicles computer? If so, would my 2001 computer (15 years old) be as good as newer computer on vehicles or even recognize it? Would hate to spend the money on new controller have the same problem.
Your neighbor likely has an integrated brake controller from the factory. The factory controllers are privy to the vehicle's data bus, it is hard to beat the performance of the factory brake controller.
Next is the Prodigy controllers, most seem happy with them are they are affordable usually around $125 or less.
I don't think you can find the brake controllers that tap in to the hydraulic brake line, seemed to be too much of a liability for them.
