Here's another vote for Branches of Niagara on Grand Island. My wife and I spent 3 nights there for our Anniversary weekend last summer and loved it. Very friendly staff, easy on/off the I-190, plenty to do there including a zip line and close to gas, shopping and other stores for those last minute things. It's no more than 15 minutes from the falls.
