While I have a perfectly good bathroom in my RV, I don't see it being silly to use other facilities when possible in order to reduce the need for dumping during a trip. Let me see, an occasional 1/2 to 2 minute walk to the campground facilities versus having to lug a tote full of s**t to a dumping station 10 minutes away.
The big usage, in my opinion, is the daily showering. I suppose having spent my life in California and the cyclical droughts, I don't freak out if I have to go a couple days without a full-blown shower - especially if I'm out in a forest camping with a nice lake to swim in.
