My wife and I made the Hwy 101 drive many times in the past 15 years since we lived in WA and drove to the OR coast often. If you are leaving in 7 days you are going at one of the most popular RV travel times on the coast. And if you are trying to find a "public parking lot" that allows unattended trailer parking while you go "cruising" then I think you are out of luck. When we drove Hwy 101 we looked for casinos that allowed RV parking and parked there and then cruised around. Casinos are not public parking lots so you should ask their security if you can leave your TT for a few hours. We did and never had a problem. There are going to be some areas that don't have casinos but the more populous locations will have a casino nearby. If you do follow my advice, I hope neither you nor your partner like to gamble because it could wind up costing more than a private RV campground. Good Luck in your travels.
