Pets on the Road...
I am new to the forum. I don't even have an RV or MH or any other type of camper at the moment. I figured it would be more prudent to learn all I can here from others before I make the investment! =)
I have read many posts about dogs at campsites but more in the way of just basic, common sense rules or requests of controlling their barking, keeping them leashed and cleaning up after them. I have also read that some campsites have weight limits on the size of the dog. I have 2 St. Bernard's weighing in at 110 lbs. (female) and 150 lbs. (male, her son) and they would definitely be on the road with me. How commonplace are these weight restrictions?
Also, I love attending local fiber festivals with fiber-producing animals in tow. Because they are local, it's not much to transport them to these events. However, I would love to broaden our horizons a little bit (lol!). Would a MH be able to tow a livestock trailer? (Small one...) And does anyone know where we might stop to rest overnight if our destination is more than a day's travel away?
