Not sure about weight restrictions at campgrounds, but there is usually some language about agressive breeds. The worst a St. Bernard will do to you is run you over, trying to play with you. They are just big babies!!

Some campgrounds have size or weight restrictions, but many do not, including most public campgrounds. It is always wise, if you're not sure, to call ahead, but you shouldn't run into problems, so go ahead and get that RV and take your Bernards. They will love it. Of course, your Saints are small compared to the official record for the breed, 315 pounds!

As for towing a livestock trailer, I have seen many motorhomes pulling horse trailers, so the main thing you need to worry about (other than things like brakes, WDH, and other important safety issues) is the towing capacity of the RV relative to the weight of the trailer, including the livestock, feed and supplies when fully loaded. I don't know about campgrounds that allow livestock, except that some do have sites reserved for campers with horses. You might look into fairgrounds and other facilities that are often equipped for camping with livestock.

On editing, I thought I would mention that there are several websites (petswelcome.com, dogfriendly.com, and more) that will list pet-friendly campgrounds, and you can often find pet restrictions listed in campground guides. It is still wise, though, to call ahead to be sure. Good luck and we hope to see you and your Saints on the road.

a source of information about hauling livestock across state lines, etc. is the PRCA the pro rodeo cowboy association. I know there are campgrounds with small corrals, etc all over the country, but can't tell you where they are.
I know there are restrictions on hauling hay...has to be weed free certified, etc.
The rodeo horses also have to have health cards showing vet exams and/or shots if needed, etc.
So start with the PRCA.
as for the two giant dogs.... yes, you'll run into a few rv parks with restrictions based on size, so you'll just have to ask each one. State and Federal campgrounds usually don't ban dogs of any kind, but will require them to be leashed.

Best thing to do, is to figure where you'd like to go, then go on one of the CG review sites (RVParkReviews.com for example) to find the CGs and their websites for the areas you want to visit.
Once on their website, you can see if there are issues with different breeds, or if they allow any dogs at all (some don't).

There are livestock trailers with living quarters for humans. I've seen them often in municipal and country RV parks in this part of the country.

Another option, pulling larger trailers, is a "toter home" on the back of a Class 5 to Class 8 tractor. I see these pulling larger horse vans and cattle trucks, probably a lot more trailer than you would need for sheep, goats, alpaca, etc.

Not so much RVing, as these are usually carrying working animals, for professional or commercial use, and as such they are also not pets. Working horses for round-up, rodeo, racing; dogs for competition and hunting; show livestock on the state and county fair circuits.

I think toting around livestock will limit the places you are welcome to stay, more so than a couple of pets, even large ones.

We travel with our Saint Bernard (140 pounds) and have never encountered campgrounds (private, state, or national forest) that had a breed/size restriction. The biggest issue we encounter is the spectacle he creates in every campground we visit. Word gets out and he's the rock star of wherever we happen to pull in :) We're used to it, and wouldn't travel without him. Enjoy!

I actually have never come across any weight or size restrictions in any CAMPSITE. It's a fairly common thing with RV Parks but about the closest I've seen is one campground that has one loop where dogs are completely banned. None of the other 5 loops have any 'out of the ordinary' pet restrictions of any kind.
The most troublesome issue I've come across in traveling with my dog is restaurant stops (always try to eat one meal a day out of the RV). Lucky and I argue about it constantly :)

I love the breed, don't own one but I think there great! We go the opposite direction, 2 small dogs and a Sun Conure. They travel with us were ever we go. Great big puppies? Our little ones always want on our labs I can see myself driving down the road with a 140lp puppy on my lap!!

I don't see a problem with the dogs but I can only see county fair grounds welcoming your livestock.

I have to agree. We had a giant Saint when I was growing up, over 200-lbs. He was HUGE! And so very sweet. The only bad thing about a Saint Bernard is their short life span. Ours died of gastric torsion when he was only 7. :(
