A long, long, long time ago (it seems like another lifetime), we made decisions about recreational activities based on weather forecasts. More often than not the forecasts turned out to be wrong, and our plans were dashed for no good reason. Then we made a commandment for ourselves: We would NEVER make recreational decisions based on weather forecasts. In the years since then, we have stuck to our self-made commandment almost 100% of the time. When we've stuck to it, we've had wonderful times. When we've stuck to it, we've never missed out on an opportunity for recreation just on the basis of someone's predictions. There have been some times when we've dealt with bad weather. There have been some times (many, in fact) when the weather turned out fine and we were on hand to enjoy it. It's basically a win-win commandment. I recommend it.
