Bailing on a CG, or any other service provider, because of weather is a good way to encourage them to take non refundable deposits on credit cards. That site that you booked was done on trust. It is entirely possible that somebody else called after you & was told no.
At least have the courtesy of calling & cancelling. Maybe the CG will get lucky & recieve a late booking. Maybe the weather will be nice. Your loss.
