My post comes from running a business myself not that disimilar from a CG i.e. limited space, limited season, people making a reservation then not showing up for whatever reason. No call. Nothing. Business turned away assuming they would show.
Taking a credit card number & charging if they no showed without a good reason put a stop to that.
