Thank you all for your thoughts. I am sorry if I confused some using military lingo; I assumed those who were not prior military would just disregard my post. But I figured there had to be some folks on here with military background. That's who I was addressing. Sorry I did not make that clear.
As for doing the partial move in the TT, we are only carrying things we will use or we will need right away. We estimated 1500-2000 for the five of us in the truck & TT and found out we will get some reimbursement, but I had not calculated the extra gas. Thanks for thinking of that. Still, it's a chance of a lifetime and we have always made our transfers into a vacation, stopping along the way. Who knows if we will ever get to that part of the country again. Seize the day :)
