Belt and suspenders, to be honest. I don't know for sure, but I feel like you'd use a little less antifreeze since you do have the first part mixing antifreeze with water - especially in a 42' camper. But, that's pure guessing.
And, from an instructions perspective - my sister and her friends likely don't have water heater bypasses. They may end up blowing the lines out and that's it.
