That makes sense - I was really trying to minimize any mechanical aspect of the winterization process outside of draining the water heaters. I know their hubbies are a little handy- just not sure how much.

And, if the water heater has a plastic drain plug, be VERY careful with it, it can break very easily. There is no anode rod in the water heaters with the plastic plug!
