Running generator at night while sleeping?

I've boondocked with the generator sitting in the bed of my truck, and parked my truck about 50 feet away, the exhaust pointing away and downwind of my TT. So far, no CO issues (I keep two CO detectors in my rig to be safe.) No real neighbors to speak of in 400-500 feet, so any generator noise is pretty much gone by that distance, especially from a quiet inverter model.
