The Gen-turi only adds a 12" sweep elbow directly to the existing exhaust system when in use, much shorter than most of the exhaust extensions that Onan sells themselves. The elbow is also a slightly larger diameter than many RV generator exhaust pipes. The remainder of the riser is a 3" composite plastic pipe that draws in air at the open bottom to cool the exhaust before it exits at the top. Any difference in back pressure would be extremely small in my opinion and experience.
