Hey Dutch, was that you in the tent site next to me last week? Have your lungs cleared out yet?
Get a grip. Didn't think it was necessary to say I wouldn't run it in close quarters.
I have run it in a wide open campground with the nearest RV about 40 feet away. That was for 15 minutes to make the coffee. Even checked to make sure my neighbors were up and around. Wouldn't want to wake them up by generator even though it wasn't quiet hours any more.
If I were to go to a tailgate or close camp (NASCAR) that generator use was practiced, I'd use a Genturie-type device. I never said they don't work. In fact, I said they were an improvement over a straight pipe. I don't think they are a fix for a leaky generator compartment or unsealed RV. I'm confident my MH is sealed rather well against exhaust fumes or I wouldn't use it.
I think my generator uses between 1/4 to 3/4 gallon per hour. Not sure where the intake is in the fuel tank, but its supposed to be at about 1/4th tank. That leaves about 60 gallons for generator use.
That's a lot of hours to smoke someone out!!! (WINK, WINK)
