RV battery

Has anyone used Costco"s interstate batterys. If so are u happy with them. Had Trojan before, but expensive. Thank You
  • I have had two sets of the Costco 6 volters. They have worked better then previous batteries.
  • I used 6 in golf cart and 2 in RV,very happy with them, worked just fine.
  • I use INTERSTATE batteries in Truck and 5th Wheel.........

Get about 5 yrs from truck.......longer for 5vr (better charging ....4 stage inverter/charger system.)

Costco sells them as does many other sources.
  • I've had my pair for 3 seasons. Never a problem with either of them. Just as important is what kind of converter/charger you have to maintain them.
  • 4x GC2 in the trailer and a group 65 in the truck.
    All have worked very well.
The GC2 are the low end 208 Interstate afaik.
  • two people mentioned that its important to know what kind of inverter I have to work well with battery 's ? How can you tell if your inverter may not be working well ? Thanks
  • Posters are saying CONVERTER not inverter.
A converter changes 120 volts AC to 12 volts DC.
An inverter changes 12 volts DC to 120 volts AC. Some rigs do have an inverter/charger.
What is make and model of your rig?
Look around the power distribution panel for make and model of your power system.
Older in-expensive converters put out a steady or nearly steady amperage and voltage to charge the batteries.
The better converters have different voltage outputs to take better care of your batteries.
