Lex well I understand your situation better now and first wish you the best of luck with your health.
As stated above, even if you can get a loan, the interest rate will suck given your credit, employment and income situation.
While it's easy to say go make some $, you are aware that age and health aren't on your side and that is difficult.
What is/ was your career?
Any way to work for yourself in the same field or another you have skills in?
Personally don't see another way to get what you want and stay debt free.
Sounds like physical work is out of the question. What about something part time, clerical, consulting? What about driving for a living, deliveries, parts runner?
Without a house per se, it's tough for any home based business.
Not sure any bank would loan without a permanent residence on bad credit and low income.
I've always made extra cash buying, fixing and selling stuff, mainly vehicles and other things with engines. Of course I've always had a home base, shop, tools, etc even as a kid living with my parents. Maybe you could swing that with RVs and live in them if you're handy, but not sure how you could do that without having one to live in and one for sale.
Good luck man!
