RV recommendation

I'm looking for an RV to live in during weeknights. However, I will mostly be in cities and as such do not need a kitchen or fridge (of any kind). I am looking for something that's not too conspicuous, e.g. class B.

Amenities:
Queen or King size bed
Toilet (flush toilet preferred)
Shower preferred (but optional).
Lots of storage space -- the more the better!
Power to charge phones/laptops off the grid
TV preferred but optional

Budget: ~$100k new.

Any suggestions?
  • Have a look at Sportsmobile. The short Sprinter could be the best option but there are several. The important feature of SMB is that you design your own interiors.

Let me get this straight, you want an RV to live in on city streets? No kitchen facitlities? Charge phone and laptop? Queen bed? Oh and flush toilet?
Where are you gping to dump the holding tanks? Down a storm drain, AKA Christmas vacation. How do you intend to ge

  • You can add storage with a box on the bumper hitch. I agree with others, don't rip out the kitchen. You might change your mind and want to make a pot of coffee.

You will need a place to dump the tanks, if you use the bathroom.
  • Jebby is right, if you ever plan on reselling it people will want all the features that come with a " Class B". I would look at ways to increase storage. Maybe on the roof or off the back, etc. Also using the kitchen area amenities for storage is something alot of people do.
I made the mistake of buying a high end RV but got a model with a bigger Salon area and one larger bathroom. I should of thought of resale because now I'm finding when people spend that much money for an rv they want the other 1/2 bath. My point is think of resale and not just the immediate situation like I did.
  • don't remove the kitchen. keep the fixtures they don't take much space. use the cabinets as storage as well as the fridge and sink. don't take the hit on value to save a few cubic feet.
  • isn't there a b manufacturer in MI? that will custom do this? I assume you don't care about resale potential?

  • I would find a floor plan that worked for me and contact the company see if they would put storage cabinets in instead of the kitchen stuff. It probably would be a hard sell if you ever wanted to get rid of it if you did that good luck.
  • I understand that RVs in general have limited storage space. I am looking for a model that has more storage space than others, if at all possible, while still maintaining a class B profile, e.g. by replacing kitchen space with storage space.
  • With your budget you should be able to find everything in your list that you want less the big storage space. A B has very little. Even our C has very limited storage.
