RV TV

Hey all

So I am new to RVing but am getting a handle on the important things. This is not so important but here goes:

I have an older RV that is not equipped with a cable hookup for the parks. It has a roof antennae and an old tv in it that I intend to replace. It has interior wiring from the antennae to three interior locations to hook a tv to the cable.

I am thinking that I could unhook the cable connection leaving the roof antennae and put in a splitter leaving the antennae. One leg of the splitter would give me the antennae feed, then run the other leg of the splitter across the roof and down the side where I could put in a connector to hook up at the RV park cable. This would let me use both the antennae signal and the parks cable hookup. I am not really any expert on this so just hoping for some feedback on the plan. A couple of follow up questions:

1) I didn't even know they stil had broadcast television. Is it even worth using the antennae?
2) if I do split the cable signle leaving the antennae, should I use a splitter with an a/b switch, or just a simple splitter. Seems like I would have to have a splitter with a switch to avoid interference from the other side .

Thanks in advance!
