sanitizing tanks problem

Think it is the fiberguard part that is causing the problems. Very faint if any bleach smell left. Just the suds/foam.

Peroxide KILLS bleach on contact. I would use 1/8 cup max and fill the tank. You don't have to wait, just empty and rinse and it should be fine.
The peroxide is easy to rinse out.

Not to mention wearing out your pump, both on our well and in your rv. Don't forget to use every faucet and also the shower head as you rinse.

ya, filled, ran through the lines and drained. Have done that at leaset 6 times. Lost count.
I was going to taste the water, but seeing all that foam under the trailer I just could not bring myself to do it.

I still have just over a week to get it right, but it drives me nuts knowing it is there and it was my fault for not reading the label better.

Just asking but what exactly do you mean by "rinse?" Did you run a few gallons through the system or did a rinse consist of completely filling the tank and then completely draining it? And did you drain it at the tank drain or run the water through the system? A complete fill and flushing the lines would be necessary to touch all surfaces with clean water.

Yup, bottled is a must I believe.
I have no problem with repeated filling and draining, but I am on a well and not sure how much water I really have. Already gone through around 650 - 700 gals in 3 days. Bit woried about running it dry.
May not have a choice.

If 2 boxes don't help , I'd try 4-5 boxes in 2 gallons of water, and so on. You have a huge fresh water tank, so...

Sometimes you can buy baking soda at the Dollar General type of store for a buck a box.
