I didn't know where to ask this, so am hoping this works here & is permitted? My husband likes to go places where there is 'no cell service'... he'd like to start taking me with him, in our travel...

I agree on Verizon AND ATT. Our truck has onstar phone/wifi which uses ATT, our phones are Verizon. Where we go there are many spots where one or the other works but not both.
AND install a good cell phone booster system and a good outside antenna to go with it. We have the Weboost RV 4G system. While it won't guarantee phone service let alone fast internet, it will give you service in marginal places. But there are many places we still don't get any service. But then we often camp in remote locations in MT, ID, WA, OR, etc. If you camp near more populated areas better chance of getting service.
