Unfortunately yes. Not saying it's acceptable, but many of us have been down this road. You'll learn, never take your rig in anywhere near a trip. We've been forced to cancel trips for just about everything you mentioned.
If needing work and it can wait - we'll take it in a month or so after the season ends here. You still have to wait for parts and such.
But chances of getting pushed back because of new deliveries is less likely a issue.
Many times after our repairs were done we found damage the dealer did that wasn't there when dropped off. This meant it ended up staying longer. Honestly .... We've had ours tied up for a month at times.
Our MH when new was tied up at the Fleetwood factory in Indiana for 3 months before getting it back.
Drop off with appointment
Takes a week to look at it
Yep needs parts
Fight with approval from manufacturer or warranty company
That's another week or two to get approved
On back order for one to two weeks or more
Parts in - another week or more to get it back in the que
Fixed - weeks to months later
If your lucky they didn't damage something else
