You're on the right track.
If I could pay cash for a $60k RV I would not flush $9k renting one for a month.
I can pay cash for any RV, because I wouldn't spend that much to rent because there are less costly options to accomplish the same thing. Must be an engineer thing...
You'll have to put some legwork into making sure you don't pay more than you should and RV prices are all over the board compared to say car prices.
Itll be easier to come out while on it if you can figure out how to "own" it short term without having to cough up all the sales tax too.
