This past Father's Day weekend... I wanted to go camping and hiking with my wife. Told my two college-bound teenagers that they were on their own for the weekend.
Took wife to a rustic state park with no hookups. Didn't make a fire because we didn't have the kids. Sat under the awning with books and magazines. Went hiking for a few hours. Packed up the camper and went home midday on Sunday.
I did, however, say hello to my neighbors... I always try to do that when in a campground. Always good to at least greet your immediate camping neighbors.
We had a great time, and I am already looking forward to next year for probably the same thing on Father's Day weekend!
Enjoy your camping as you would like (without bothering other people), and if you want enjoy how other people are camping. I don't like "yelling" kids, but laughing kids at a campground is a joy that I hope I will never tire of.
