I guess that we are really screwed up. I made good use of my capitol "as the OP has said" and bought 13 acres of rural farm land. I have a pond I have woods and a small stream borders my property with 1000,acres of state forest on the other side. We do have a neighbor across the road, but between my front yard trees and his front yard trees we only see each other when the leaves are off.
We often are found in a noisy crowded, smoky state park, just sitting out having coffee and people watching. Camping gives us reams of entertainment provided by the citidiots that think they are having an organic back to nature experience in the rough and wooley wilds of a state park
If we stayed home I would be mowing, fixing, puttering around on some project the doesn't need to be done. The missus would be cleaning a clean house or figuring out how to spend money uprooting the landscaping to upgrade it to whatever she saw on HGTV last night.
We may be weird but we are content!
