"Why? Because 99% of the facilities with a 10 year rule only have them to cover themselves for the very worst situations. With a blanket statement like that, you are excluding yourselves from what may be some terrific campgrounds..."
It has been my experience that 99% of campgrounds either do not have the "10 year rule", or don't ask. We utilize very few commercial campgrounds, and the ones we do use are frequently KOA Kamps. They don't have any such rule, at least not that we have ever seen.
Besides, IMO a "terrific campground" is at least ten miles from the nearest town, has no hookups, no garbage service, no dump station, no cell service, no lights, and quite possibly is at least a mile from pavement. Oh, yes, there is good trout fishing within walking distance.
THAT is a "terrific campground"!
