Why on earth would a CG owner turn down perfectly good money unless he felt like it would cost him money in the long run. Someone on this thread already mentioned a CG where the good looking campers were up front and the older ones were in the back. I don't remember if he named the CG, but that's the kind of publicity a business owner doesn't need. Couple that with the monumental PITA to actually get rid of an abandoned RV. Not even figuring up the legal problems with moving an RV that you don't own, you'd have to have it towed, which could be expensive, and then where to? There may be some, but I've never seen an RV junkyard, or even a junkyard with an RV in it.
The dealer that sold me my new at the time RV has a small area in the back of his large lot that's filled with RVs that will never move again. I know the guy, so I think I'll ask him where old RVs go to die, and report back. If he'll tell me. :)
