Not sure if it was mentioned, but you might wanna try harvest hosts as well. There's a small yearly fee, but the idea is that whine yards and farms allow you to stay overnight (one night) usually without hookups for free. Harvest hosts asks that you purchase something from the place you are staying to thank them. I know that when retire or have more time to travel, we will be doing it.
