thinking of a membership for disount camping

so the house is sold and we bought a new to us 2002 carriage cameo with which we are delighted. we are in a fabulous little campground near our former home and which we intend to be our summer base at least this summer.
i've heard of discount memberships so while we travel we can save some money.
would love to hear which ones are worth the investment and which are not.
dh is a vietnam vet and senior citizen if that helps.

we like quiet, pretty sites which allow pets, as we have a dog and the cats may come with us this year.

dh likes a pool,we have a washer/dryer in the rig. we need wifi and cable most places i guess too.
thanks so much and happy trails.
  • Passport America..........costs roughly $44 a yr. Get 50% discount on stays. Some restrictions on when and length of stay.
BUT use it a coupe times and it has paid for itself.

As for 'memberships'........really check them out (Exclusions...fine print)
NEVER purchase a membership directly from a campground/park/resort.
    Purchase via 'RESALE'

One place to check out memberships for sale is RV Park Store

We FT and have a membership........home park/$59 yr (frozen) plus C2C & RPI Affiliates. We can stay up to 2 weeks at affiliate CG/s full hook up for $10/15 nightly and Associated parks for $15/18 night.

Besides Passport America, C2C, RPI we also stay at fairgounds, Corp of Engineer sites, some boondocking, city parks and monthly stays.
  • I've used my Good Sam as well as my KOA card and have been happy with the savings.
