So we were supposed to get our RV tomorrow, but because of a money fiasco, we won't be picking it up until Friday. :S Anyhoo .... I would love it if everybody could share their tips, tricks, do's ...

Yes that will work just fine. Just remember to put it on the faucet then your hose then to the motor home, using a 90 Degree hose elbow where it hooks into the RV to reduce strain in the hose.
