I store my trailer away from my home so to make sure my towels, sheets, wash clothes and anything else taken out of the trailer makes it back into the trailer I put the items in a tote when they come out of the wash. I use this same tote to pack stuff to and from the trailer when loading and unloading. The tote is also a good place to store purchased items for the trailer until I pull it back home to get it ready for the next trip.
If you are like me and find your memory isn't as good as it once was don't forget the camera feature on your cell phone. I took pictures of the weight labels and tire pressure labels on both the truck and trailer so I have them handy for reference. Plus the labels fade over time so you have a record of what they once had printed on them.
Pick up an extra pressure regulator in case you leave one attached to a hose bib in your last campground.
If you have a newer truck with the 2 1/2" receiver but are using a 2" hitch don't forget to take out the spacer or forget to put the hitch pin back in because the darn spacer will eventually work its way out and be lost forever requiring you to drive to town or maybe 3 towns looking for a replacement.
