Here is one for surge protectors. Progressive has a lifetime warranty on their units. They are expensive but so is your electronic equipment. Think of it as a one time CYA purchase.

Question: what keeps someone from stealing the surge protector?
I have thought about both the surge protector, and the DirecTV dish.
Are campers all just good people, and nobody steals anything?
Of course not ALL campers are good people. Just a vast majority of them.
On theft of the surgee protector;I can tell you that in 8 years of full timing, we have not lost the original yet. It is starting to look a little "ugly'" and I suspect that it will wear out before it gets stolen.
