A quick surge protector tale: We never used one with our old motorhome, but when we bought the new one I got one of the Progressive surge protectors. On our first trip with the new MH, on one of our stops at a full hook up campground, there was an electrical storm. At one point, the whole sky lit up and then there was a BANG and all of the electricity went out. I'm pretty sure our electronics would have been fried without it. I figure the @ $200 I spent for that was a GREAT investment.
