When I replaced my toilet, the factory original was plumbed with 1/2 inch PEX that was crimp-ring at every connection. No disconnect point.
The new toilet had a 1/2 NPT male connection.
From Lowes we got a 1/2 PEX SharkBite to 1/2 NPT fitting and an 18" 1/2x1/2 flexible toilet supply line.
Install the Sharkbite just above the floor (pointing up) and then finish just like a household toilet install.
