I was rving the other week and a person drove up with his fifth wheel and did a amazing thing (amazing to me). His wife got out and looked at the levels on the front sides of his 5th wheel and put to rubber level pads on the one side and he drove up on them until she said "stop". That was it and he was level from side to side. I talked to him about the pads and he said he had bought them a few years ago..they are the width of a 2x10 and the thickness goes from a inch up to about 6 inches. they were short enough that she could put one infront of both tires before he drove up on them...I have been looking for these rubber level pads but no luck..Does anyone know anything about them?....Thanks

I am a recent convert to the Anderson Levelers. I LOVE them.

Although the video shows a guy with a level, and also a driver (2-person job), I needed to come up with a solution since I travel alone.

These two pieces of equipment together make leveling by yourself an absolute breeze!

This level is on the very front of my trailer, positioned in such a way that I can see it in the rear-view mirror of the truck.

They'll fit, you have them somewhat verticl between the tires to start and then they curl in as you slowly drive onto them. Search around Amazon for the best price. If I remember, I paid less than $40, around $38 and then added a couple other little wanna haves for the trailer to get the free shipping.

Maybe consider taking a board that you would put under the Anderson Levelers to help distribute the pressure on the wet soil. Or don't park in mud ;)

For you fellas with the Anderson's. I looked at the video. Do they require a certain distance between the tires to work? I have approx. 5" between my tires. That is, I assume, pretty much average. I was just wondering if they are too close, will the leveler not fit? (I hope I worded that question right.) I'm quite impressed with the video. While we're at it, where is the best plact to order them?

I am an ex-wood user. Over the years we have accumulated more and more of the plastic and rubber contraptions, and reduced the amount of lumber we carry. Now the only wood we carry is 4 pieces of plywood 12x18 for really soft ground.

The new-fangled stuff is lighter, cleaner, and takes up less storage space.
